Annie`s Frozen Custard in Edwardsville

We love Annie's Frozen Custard. Great place to walk to with the kids. Very friendly and quick service.

Great custard. I like a raspberry concrete with chocolate hard shell!

I should start by saying I'm not from the area and totally prefer ice cream to custard, and I don't like most of the custard shops. Annie's is special, though. The custard is definitely custard and not ice cream, but I feel like they do a way better job in making it and flavoring it. We have Annie's often in the summer when the walk-up shop is open. The service is always polite, even when it's busy. It's special for the whole family.

Great frozen custard! The butter pecan was amazing and they had a special cup for my pup.

Loved the Silver Creek Bluegrass Band, hotdogs and ice cream were great too!

Refreshing on a hot day! There is a lot to chose from on the menu. The bathroom was small and old.

The young, blonde guy who took my order was very polite and helpful, and the concrete was a good, thick consistency. I just moved down the street from this place and it's within walking distance so they definitely will be seeing more of me. Nice, shady outdoor spot on the side of the building and good location in town.

Annie's is a community icon. They are fantastic in every way. The staff are friendly. The custard is tasty. The atmosphere is top notch. All around a great place to be.

Annie's has always played second fiddle to the far superior Northside Dairy, but with Northside being shuttered (permanently?) due to covid-19, Annie's is the best place around for a cold tasty treat!

Maybe I'll have a better experience next time, but I was there for 20 - 30 minutes after ordering and never got my food. When my party and I asked where my order was, they acted like they had never gotten it in the back and had to make it right then. It was very busy, but for an order for 2, it was far too long of a wait especially watching everyone else get served. Food quality was good though. It was a very loaded Chicago hot dog.

My experience at Annie's couldn't have gone better. Great selection of frozen custard to choose from and very quick service. Keep up the great work.

I am a chubby girl. I have curves and that dreaded mommy belly. But I also have aspirations to get down to, like, a size 5. I know, I know, you’re thinking this has nothing to do with this review. Bare with me. I was at the gym one day, trying to make those aspirations a reality, and I COULD NOT stop thinking about Annie’s lemon custard. Coincidentally, Annie is also my name, so when I was done at the gym I went and made acquired my custard. I probably ate as many calories as I had burned, but I’d rather be a chubby girl than miss out on that lemon custard. The other custards are good, but the lemon would kill them all and become ruler of custards if given half a chance. TL;DR: go buy the lemon custard.

Better than ice cream? Doesn't matter, eat them both.

Food is a solid 4, but the service is a 1 or less. When the 16-year-old girl taking your order constantly sighs and rolls her eyes like she doesn't want to be there, or care about your order at all, it's not a good start. And then there was the 10-minute wait for 2 hot dogs. This is by NO means "fast food" whatsoever - be prepared to wait a long time for your food.

I grew up in North County, and frankly nobody has ever compared up to Fritz's (though they have their own issue with underage poorly paid, poorly trained labor, but that's another story!)Anyway, I had never been to Annie's (it's not really on the way to most things for me) but my cousin's kids love it, and I did happen to be driving by one evening, and saw "Black raspberry" (one of my favorites!) was a special.Well, I was expecting - you know - frozen custard with black raspberries in it. Instead, I got some sort of purple-slime colored concoction with chocolate chunks in it.After one bite, all I noticed was that "artificial flavor" aftertaste. The only thing saving it was the chocolate - even though I didn't expect or want it, at least it was edible! But I could have just gotten a hershey bar for under $2 instead of paying over $6 for the worst concrete I've ever had.
